A complete training programme to acquire a global vision of the craft and master the main techniques and processes of the jewellery workshop.

Our Comprehensive Jewellery Training is a complete programme designed to master the craft of jewellery-making from a technical, creative, and professional perspective.

Over three years, you will work on the three main areas involved in the development of a piece of jewellery: manufacturing, stone setting, and design. You will learn to conceive a piece, represent it, construct it, and apply different setting and finishing techniques.

A comprehensive journey designed to acquire a global vision of the craft and develop the skills necessary to approach jewellery projects with greater technical and creative autonomy.

Subjects

Among the skills students will acquire upon completion of the design module, we highlight:

Theoretical and practical knowledge of jewellery design and illustration to carry out any requested projects.
Practical exercises based on real and current projects.
Knowledge of ergonomics in jewellery, costume jewellery, and accessories.

Among the skills students will acquire upon completion of the stone setting module, we highlight:

Theoretical and practical knowledge of all the tools required to perform jewellery setting or artistic engraving as requested.
Practical training in performing different types of existing jewellery settings and engravings for professional development.
Project development using ancient techniques of stone setting and artistic engraving.

Among the skills students will acquire upon completion of the jewellery module, we highlight:

Theoretical and practical knowledge of all the tools required to create jewellery pieces as requested.
Training in the creation of different types of jewellery: rings, earrings, pendants…
Sanding, polishing, and finishing techniques.

Modality

The course can be taken in two formats:

The first is in-person for 20 hours per week and the second is an intensive format of 15 days per month.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Diploma accrediting the course and the hours completed.

Facilities

The student will have access to a 30-square-metre classroom or another 80-square-metre room with natural light and ventilation.
Also available are audiovisual rooms, workshops, theoretical-practical rooms, or others depending on the task at hand.

Duration

The course spans 3 academic years, from September to July.

Pre-enrolment is open all year round with the possibility of joining at any point during the course. Individualised attention.

This professional course is organised by the school with a duration of 80 hours per month; the student must attend every working day of the week, where they will be provided with theoretical and practical knowledge to be developed subsequently.

To successfully complete the Comprehensive Jewellery Training Course, the student must pass the jewellery, stone setting, and design modules over the three years, thereby obtaining the Diploma accrediting this qualification specific to the Escuela de Joyería del Atlántico.
