Our Jewellery Setting & Artistic Engraving course offers specialised training to master two disciplines closely linked to precision work in jewellery: stone setting and artistic engraving.

Throughout the course, you will learn to use specific tools of the trade and work with different setting and engraving techniques, combining traditional procedures with their application in jewellery projects.

A fundamentally practical training to develop precision, control, and manual dexterity, and to delve into a speciality with a significant technical and artisanal component.

Subjects

Among the knowledge students will acquire upon completion of the course, we highlight:

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of all tools required to perform jewellery setting or artistic engraving as requested.
  • Practical training on various types of existing jewellery settings and engravings to develop professionally.
  • Project development using traditional stone setting and artistic engraving techniques.

Modality

The course can be taken in two formats:

  • The first is in-person and weekly, from 2 to 6 hours per week, and the second is the intensive format of 3 days per month [[24 hours from Monday to Wednesday, 8 hours daily = 24 hours per month]]. The latter has higher demand for places, so if you wish to choose this option, you should decide as soon as possible.
  • Students who successfully complete the course will receive an Accredited Diploma for the course, stating the hours completed.

Facilities

Students will have access to a workshop of 30 square metres or another of 60 square metres with natural light and ventilation. Also, audiovisual and theoretical-practical classrooms or others depending on the practice to be carried out.

Duration

The course comprises 2 academic years, from September to July.

Pre-registrations are open all year round with availability to join at any point during the course.
Individual attention.

As this is a course organised by the school with a duration of 24 hours per month, students can organise their schedule according to their priorities, completing a minimum of 2 hours per week up to the 6 hours offered weekly by the school.

In total, to complete the first year, 264 hours must be completed, and another 264 hours in the second year, to finish the school’s jewellery setting & artistic engraving course and obtain the Accredited Diploma.
